Online Course Details

St Ignatius ofLoyola believed that we experienced God in our daily lives.  His tools of prayer and discernment have helped people to live more attentively, and to recognise the many gifts we have been given, and continue to be given.

Over the year we will cover many key parts of Ignatian Spirituality, through a mixture of teaching, praying, sharing and reflecting.

Finding God in All Things: The knowledge that God is active and present in every aspect of life—work, relationships, nature, and even suffering.

• Discernmentof Spirits: paying attention to the "motions of the soul"—the shiftsin feelings and desires that help us to recognise when we are moving toward God(consolation) or away from him (desolation).

• Living out our purpose: why we are created, what do we desire and what choices do we make in life the live out that purpose and desire

• SpiritualFreedom: exploring the freedom to follow God’s will and reflecting on those things that stop us being completely free in God

We will explore various tools for prayer, including the Examen, Imaginative Contemplation, Lectio Divina and praying with art.
