This is a 9-day introductory course to the Ignatian model ofspiritual accompaniment, using principles based on the SpiritualExercises. It’s suitable for a wide range of people including those whowork in pastoral settings (hospital & prison visitors, chaplains, clergy,Eucharistic ministers, catechists) and anyone who is simply interested inhaving deep life-giving conversations with others. Although thiscourse does not provide full training for people to offer spiritual direction,it introduces some of the necessary skills and it may reveal a gift forspiritual direction in the Ignatian tradition.

We offer regular events for people already working asspiritual directors, and other people with a listening component to to theirministry. As our speakers, we invite spiritual directors, theologians,psychologists and anyone who we believe has something pertinent and interestingto present to the spiritual direction community. Manresa Days areusually comprised of input sessions on a particular theme, with opportunity forsmall group sharing and plenary discussion.

At London Jesuit Centre, we are delighted to host the Ignatian Spirituality Course, which is a very well-regarded comprehensive 3-year training in spiritual direction in the Ignatian tradition. There is also a 1-year 'Ignatian Enrichment' course for directors who have trained in other traditions. Please see further details on their separate website here.
