Dr Nowotnik recently completed his PhD in the Ecclesiology of Vatican II, at the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas(Angelicum), Rome in the Faculty of Theology. He has not long returned from a trip to Prague, where he was involved at the European Continental Assembly of the Synod. He is National Ecumenical Officer for the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales. In this paper he will re-live the trauma of his Viva by presenting his doctoral research!
