The LJC will be offering study days for teachers throughout the year, focusing on the different branches of the new RED for England and Wales. The days aim to help teachers to find theirway in to some of the big theological and philosophical themes that emerge in the RED specification, whether by way of refresher, or as an introduction. We hope that these days will provide helpful background narratives for heads of department and RE co-ordinators as they plant their through-school curriculum and organise INSET for departmental colleagues. They may also be of interest to colleagues teaching RE who have no formal theological or philosophical training.
Podcasts for the first two branches are already available on request to provide discussion material for departmental work in schools. Contact John Moffatt SJ onjmoffattsj@jesuit.org.uk.
