Bio

David Lonsdale is Research Associate, Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology, Cambridge, UK. He taught Christian spirituality at postgraduate and doctoral levels for more than twenty-five years at Heythrop College, University of London, before retiring in 2012. He was also co-editor of The Way journal between 1984 and 1995 and is currently interested in links between literature and religious faith and practice. His publications include Listening to the Music of the Spirit: The Art of Discernment (1993) and Eyes to See, Ears to Hear: An Introduction to Ignatian Spirituality (2000). He has co-edited Poetry and the Religious Imagination (2015) of the Power of the Word Series.
