Dr Alexander Humphries is a recent doctoral graduate of SOAS. His studies have focused on the Christian Churches and communities of the Middle East and how they are an essential element of the societies of Levantine nations. As such, he has had the opportunity to work as a lecturer in Erbil.

Dr Humphries told us how he hopes to benefit from this scholarship:

I would greatly value a membership to Heythrop Library as it would provide many of the sources I could use to continue my studies. This is particularly important as I am seeking to develop a post-doctorate research project that expands upon much of my doctoral research.
